Katarina joined legacy company Mylan in 2019 and in May 2021 became Viatris EU Government Affairs & Policy Manager. In her current role, Katarína manages Viatris’ Brussels Policy Office and engagement with key trade associations such as Medicines for Europe, where she sits on the Board. She also coordinates Viatris’ EU external engagement strategy and policy responses. Prior to joining Viatris, Katarína worked with the International Pharmacists’ Federation (FIP), WHO (World Health Organization), American Pharmacists’ Association, US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the European Commission and the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic. In 2018, she was elected President of the 4th edition of the European Health Parliament. Katarína studied Pharmacy at Comenius University in Bratislava and Albert - Ludwigs University in Freiburg, and she obtained her PharmDr. focusing on medicine shortages. She speaks English, Slovak, Czech, German, French and basic Dutch.
