Adelina leads European Communications for Viatris, overseeing a team spanning 38 countries and maintaining a strong presence in engagement with European stakeholders. She co-chairs the Communications Working Group of the industry association Medicines for Europe and is a member of the Communications Working Group at AmCham EU, representing the pharmaceutical industry.
With over 20 years of experience in Communications, Adelina began her career as a business journalist, writing for leading Romanian newspapers and Forbes magazine. She later transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry, taking on both local and regional communications roles at GSK and MSD/Merck.
She joined Mylan/Viatris as Communications Lead for the Central and Eastern Europe region, before expanding her remit to oversee external communications across Europe – with a strong emphasis on policy communications and close collaboration with Viatris’ Brussels policy office.
Adelina holds a BA in Communications & PR and Political Science from the University of Bucharest. She has also completed training in sustainability management at the University of Cambridge. Adelina lives in Maastricht, the Netherlands, with her family and three children. She speaks English, Romanian, French and basic Dutch.
